How GOOD can you stand it?

How GOOD can you stand it?

There's a feeling we experience that has nothing to do with doing more. I started to notice this feeling show up in specific moments. When I was out in nature, deep in creating something, or feeling deep love and gratitude for a moment, a person, or a new perspective. Initially that feeling was fleeting. It would show up and scurry away backstage almost like it didn’t feel welcome yet.

Over the years, I’ve come to call it “aliveness”. Now when I catch it peeking in, I invite it in and let myself stay with it and feel it for as long as I can, resisting the old pull to excuse myself back to work.

The truth is, I've had to learn to feel comfortable in moments that feel good and these are three ways that have made a massive difference in how I experience life today.

One: When you live from fear, you create invisible barriers to connection. They go up before you even notice them and suddenly you’re seeing everything from a different perspective. From contraction, fear, and disconnection.

Two: Letting the army of protectors stand down is a daily practice, not a one-time decision. It's choosing to see the good, to feel the good, to love every part of yourself, even the parts still learning to trust that it's safe.

Three: Feeling everything without fighting it means you can stop being at war with yourself. The more you practice it, the easier it gets. I'm still practicing this and most days, that's the whole lesson.

Over the next few days, start noticing how good you stand it and if you're looking for something to spark that feeling of aliveness and joy, grab your ‘Alive’ print here.

With love,

Katherine

THE ARTWORK THAT INSPIRED THIS POST

'Alive' tells the story of Costa Rica. The rainforest, the sound, the colour, the humid air, the feeling of being fully in a moment instead of rushing past it.

It's about the feeling that shows up and, if you let it, stays.

This artwork is a celebration of the lush, vibrant energy that moves through each of us.

For the days you feel everything at once. Let this be the reminder: aliveness is about letting yourself feel it all.

'Alive' is an opportunity to bring that same feeling of peace, aliveness, and curiosity into your space.
